What is coaching?

Are you. . .

Ready to take the next step in your development?
Serious about dropping into your personal growth in a whole new way?
An executive looking for a career change or to become a more influential leader?
An entrepreneur looking for someone to support you in taking your development to a whole new level?
A parent wanting to become more effective with your children?

Pathwork Coaching & Consulting uses an integral approach to coaching, by taking into consideration everything that is in your world: your inner life, relationships, body (and body-mind), and your environment. Real change and growth happens and is sustainable only when we make changes on these multiple levels of our lives.

There are four operating principles of coaching which guides and informs our approach:

Principle #1:  Our relationship with you.  It is one in which mutual trust and respect are held and where there is freedom to speak openly.

Principle #2:  Practicality. Together, we look for tangible outcomes where real-world results are produced.

Principle #3:  Techniques are not our primary way of working.  We are looking for outcomes that have long-term sustainability. To reach this level of change, we will work with new practices to replace outdated ways of working and thinking.

Principle #4:  We recognize that our clients are adult learners.  We realize that clients have found their own ways of doing things that have led them to the successes they already have in their lives. Our approach to coaching is to positively build on our client's strengths while identifying blockages, limited thinking, and other areas that do not serve the client well.

Is coaching right for me?

Coaching is for individuals at all walks and phases of their lives. Clients of coaching are ideally results-oriented, ready to let new ideas and practices into their world, and most of all, people who truly want to learn, change, and grow.  They include:

CEOs
Leaders
Executives
Managers
Sales and Medical Professionals

Business owners
High achieving women
Business teams
Parents
Individuals in career/life transitions

What is the process and time commitment?

Developmental coaching is a process during which the coach and the client work towards higher levels of the client's development. Many people find they can create interim changes by themselves for a short time, but these are often only behavioral and not permanent, and many tend to regress to previous behaviors. With proper coaching over a longer period of time, you can make permanent behavioral and life transformations. A minimum of six to nine months of coaching is recommended so that new practices become embedded in your worldview, behavior, and engagements with others.
